in the pond
where i dream we meet
again like we did

   all those years ago.

              remember when we held hands?

i count the stars
like they're [memories]
i wish that we could start..
start over again

   and be together again.

              remember when our baby girl was born?

you don't  s  m  i  l  e  anymore
am i not the one
that you're supposed to..
                  adore?
   i love you.

when our children [grow]
the words fall away
many things i don't know

   when you are gone away

              remember when we made magic together?

as the love i've always known

   starts to fade

suffocates in the vacuum
